Requesting Physician & NP Participation in CIHR-funded Study: Strengthening providers’ capacity for COVID-19 care in African, Caribbean and Black (ACB) communities

A CIHR-funded study, Advancing Healthcare for COVID-19 in Ontario: Strengthening providers’ capacity for best practices in African, Caribbean and Black community (ACB) service provision, is taking place in two sites in Ontario (Toronto and Ottawa). The main aim of this study is to reduce the spread of COVID-19 and related health consequences in the ACB communities.

The study is led by Professor Etowa from University of Ottawa and Dr. Nelson from St Michael's Hospital in Toronto.  Participants will be provided an honorarium of $40 following the completion of the survey. The information provided in the honorarium component of the survey will be kept separate from the research data and all results are confidential. The study has been approved by UOttawa Research Ethics Board (REB), and participants can choose to withdraw from the study at any time.

The study is looking for participation from those who work in health care and interact with members of the ACB Community. The survey link may be shared with colleagues, and allied health care professionals.
