While recently promising results have been publicized regarding an mRNA vaccine for COVID, the high number of active cases in the Ottawa area means that reinforcing public health advice remains the strongest course of action to contain the virus.

Join Associate Medical Officer of Health, Dr. Trevor Arnason, in Ottawa Public Health’s 5th LIVE! broadcast where he will share what you can do when your patients are diagnosed with COVID-19 symptoms and how to prevent transmission to others.

In addition to being a public health doctor, Dr. Arnason has worked as a family physician in urgent care settings, primarily for university/college students and young adults. Building on his experience with clinical encounters and to make charting in the EMR quicker and easier, Dr. Arnason has developed a mnemonic tool for healthcare providers for counseling people who have just been diagnosed with COVID-19 and probable cases.

Find out more about the “break the CHAIN” tool as well an update on the daily OPH dashboard on Physicians’ Update LIVE! Thursday, November 12th,  recorded for viewing at your convenience, on the YouTube platform.
